Meredith Grey is the main character. She is the daughter of the creator of many medical techniques and one of the best physicians of the country. So, at first Meredith has to endure her mother's fame as a physician in the same hospital where she developed her career, but eventually she makes her own name. In that background, she meets Derek Shepherd, chief of neurosurgery at the hospital, who will be the viewer’s source of hatred and love throughout story. Besides them, there are other residents with prominent roles. They alternate in the protagonism, as the seasons progress, but currently in the ninth season, they are Cristina Yang (cardiothoracic surgeon), Alex Karev (pediatric surgeon), Jackson Avery (plastic surgeon) and April Kepner (trauma surgeon). On the other hand, among physicians protagonists are Owen Hunt (head of surgery), Richard Webber (general surgeon), Miranda Bailey (chief general surgery), Callie Torres (head of orthopedic surgery) and Arizona Robbins (chief of pediatric surgery).
It premiered on March 27, 2005 on ABC and since then it has run for nine seasons. Despite being set in Seattle, Gray’s Anatomy is recorded primarily in Los Angeles, California.
I started to watch it because a friend of the university suggested it to me. He is fanatic of the North American TV series and burnt the first season of Grey's Anatomy for me. So I saw first season and then I watched the other seasons that were available for free online.
I like this TV series because it has a lot of drama surrounding characters, every chapter they has a surprise, and every season is defined for topics that mix the character's feelings and the medical cases. I love characters and their way of confronting the cases. When I watch Gray's Anatomy I often forget it's a fiction and I feel that I want to be surgeon.

Very good Hibys.
